Cast in porcelain and finished with a glossy glaze, the carafe takes the unmistakable silhouette of an exotic cockatoo, its feathered crest flaring open to form the pouring spout and its curled tail folding neatly into a practical handle. Soft blush pink washes over the body in painterly strokes, set against crisp white plumage, with a pale ivory beak and glossy black eyes adding the finishing character. Etched wing feathers and clawed feet grounded on a rounded base bring real sculptural detail to what is, underneath the plumage, a fully functional vessel.
