Fabric Accent Chair – Moss Green

This accent chair takes a simple, open frame and dresses it in something far more textured. The exposed black-finished wood frame runs from the splayed legs up through rounded, exposed arms, giving the piece a light, airy stance that lets the upholstery do the talking. That upholstery is a heavily textured checkerboard weave in Moss Green and soft sage, wrapping a generously filled seat cushion and a curved, wing-like backrest that cradles rather than confines. The seat sits deep and plush, built for settling in rather than perching on the edge, while the shaped back cushion is fixed in place to hold its curve. A single mustard gold scatter cushion, soft and nubby to the touch, leans against the backrest and lifts the whole composition with a warm, contrasting note. Compact in footprint yet substantial in presence, this chair suits a reading corner, a considered living room grouping, or a family room that wants one seat with a little more personality than the rest.
