Glass Table Lamp – Smoke Grey

Some lamps simply light a room; this one gives it a focal point. The base is hand-finished in Smoke Grey glass, its surface etched with fine spiralling ribs that catch the light and give the piece a tactile, almost hand-thrown quality — a bulbous, urn-like form that tapers gracefully at the neck. It sits on a clear glass plinth that lends the whole composition a sense of lightness, letting the smoked glass appear to float. Crowning the base is a generous drum shade in grey linen-look fabric, its softly textured surface diffusing the light into a warm, even glow rather than a harsh beam. Standing at 82cm tall, it has the presence to anchor a console or sideboard, while its glass base and neutral tones let it settle easily into a bedroom or living room setting. Understated yet sculptural, it is the kind of lamp that rewards a second look.
