Description
There is something quietly confident about a striped dhurry done well, and this one wears its Indigo Blue palette with real conviction. Handwoven from cotton on traditional looms, it is a flatweave through and through – no pile to shed, no deep tufts to trap dust, just a tight, textured weave that lies flat and wears beautifully underfoot. Bands of deep indigo alternate with narrower stripes of pale blue and crisp white, each one finished with fine pinstripe detailing that catches the light differently depending on where you stand. The reverse is as clean as the face, a hallmark of genuine handwoven construction. At 230 by 330 centimetres, it is generous enough to anchor a substantial seating arrangement, grounding sofas and chairs within its graphic stripe. Its low profile makes it forgiving to live with – easy to sweep, simple to rotate, unfussy under daily footfall. In a room built around blues, greys or crisp whites, it reads as the quiet backbone that pulls every other colour into line.
