Sculptural Gold Sumo Side Table with Glass Top

Some furniture fills a corner. This one owns it. The Monk side table is built around a hand-finished sumo figure cast in high-gloss Gold, arms folded, chin down, radiating a stubborn, comic gravity that stops people mid-step. Every fold of the figure is sculpted with real character – the topknot, the crossed arms, the set of the shoulders – a genuinely playful piece of decorative craftsmanship rather than just a stand. Resting above it is a round clear glass top, letting the golden figure remain the star while still offering a practical surface for a lamp, a drink, or the odds and ends of daily life. Compact and round in footprint, it settles easily beside a sofa or armchair without demanding much floor space. This is a table for a home that likes to laugh a little – a fearless, characterful accent for anyone who wants their living room to say something about them.
